Press Release

After topping the Beatport charts with the last release, 'Back to the Old Jack' Ape Music are back and this time we bring you the dance music legend that is... Cut La Roc!!

And with him he has brought a monster of a tune tune that is most definitely 'Looking for the Deep Bass' !

Hot of the heels of his recent LP and huge collaborations with the likes of Afghan Headspin, LFDB is a bad boy electro (real electro!) tinged reese basslined beast of a tune!!

Yet again for the remixes, we have gone above and beyond and brought you 3 of the scenes brightest.

First up we have the Bristolian bad boys of beats & bass, The Beatmonkeys. Soon to drop their debut LP on Rocstar (Cut La Roc's imprint, it's all very incestuous down this way) The 'Monkeys have given us a taster of what's to come with sweet rolling live drums, mean old bass and a lush piano break in the middle that wouldn't sound at all out of place as the last tune on a Chemical Brothers album!!

Next up we have the Sub Slaying Jersey kru the Schema boys giving us a taste of what they do best, a bass heavy behemoth of a tune that straddles the border of breaks & dubstep perfectly fitting in box of either type of set... HEAVY TINGS!!!

Taking us even further in our journey to find the DEEP BASS is the rudest of all the Devon rude bwoys... the man dem call Dutty Dan!!! Twisted shuffly dubstep beats and stoooopid bass that will chew you up & spit you right back out, finishes off the mission Mr La Roc gave us and as you can hear we truly have enjoyed the journey of 'Looking For The Deep Bass', and i don't mean an existential fish!!!

Keep it locked to Ape for the next installment of bass driven pleasure coming soon.

DJ Feedback

Plump Djs Beatmonkeys mix is superb
Jay Cunning Schema remix is HEAVY!
Annie Nightingale hard to pick one mix, all so good!
Afghan Headspin Fat release. Between the Scema & Beat Monkeys remix for me. Will definately support the cause
ID The Beatmonkeys win the prize, Schema a close 2nd with a mix that will probably cross over quite well to the wobble crews!
