Hi! First of all sorry for posting this in english. I can perfectly speak/read russian, but my writting is lame

From the start of the season I have this feeling that there are just a few good new breaks tracks. :( I used to spin D'n'B and this also was happenin with this style. Nothing new and exceptional. So I got involved with breaks.

So am I the only one with same feeling or just missin fresh tracks?

hi ...

I feel that the more trance influenced breaks will survive longer, there are some great djs now spinning more acid/trance into there sets recently.. which i love.

I think that this is because of the so called "track releasing strategy". There are usually loads of junk releases in august, october, february, may. So i think that November will give more good releases than October. So breaks is alive. If you see for example JUNO, there are already more than 20 good releases this month

I have only one opinion concerning this problem. The only actual reason for so called "fading" of musical styles is their popularity. Once a style, for example breakbeat, becomes more popular than an underground style should be - moneymakers see the opportunity to earn some doll with it. Next phase is "cloned" material flooding. Large amounts of proffesional, but though mindless material are released. People who never digged this style start to appreciate it, while real fans of this music feel the "fading". So the only problem I see is moneymaking in music industry. Money and art do not go well together. Pray for the poor artists

Человек же объяснил, что с удовольствием писал бы на русском, если бу у него не страдала грамматика. Так, что он заботится о том, чтобы не испортить велийкий русский язык. Причина по-моему уважительная :)

PSYcut.. What you say is exactly true, An example of this would be Fabric and Plump djs, They used to be an underground sound but are now very much overground and the nights when they play reflect this.. The crowd has changed over the last year and ive found there sets to be more mainstream, Fabric used to have the whole Underground non commercial dj rule.. Its a shame when things become too popular.

Finding the right mix of underground music and a good atmosphere is hard which is why inevitably when that mixture is found it becomes too popular too quickly.

Are u talking about artist and label separately or u mean PDJ's perfomances in Fabric London club ?
